I’m creating a ‘sexual education’ book. As you go deeper
in the book the information gets more and more complex
and every chapter gets more intimate and personal.

Girls need time, for this I want to bring the girls little by little
in an atmosphere of trust and safety so that they feel relax.

Searching for a new Approach to Sex Education

I am interested in the graphical representations of the female body (medical, anatomical
and sexual). I’m looking for ways to shape sexual information about the female body.

The information displays have to be realistic graphic depictions of the female body
and correct explanations of the female anatomy.

 

Puberty for girls

Little by little, piece by piece, the body changes into a full grown female body. Each girl must learn to cope with the physical changes, such as the first menstrual period,  the development of breasts and widening of the hips. But they also have to learn to deal with the environment that will suddenly react differently to the female body.

The beautiful body

  

Children need to be exposed to real bodies! They have to know that photoshopped picture’s in the media are pure fiction. I’m trying to developed imagery in which the body is displayed in an open, beautiful and honest way. I want to get the images that way that girls get more in touch with the images and that they can link these images to their own bodies. 

Kids practically parent themselves!

Children are growing up in an era of information. There is even an overflow of sexual information. But in opposition to this girls are still totally unconscious about there own body. Sexual images from the media also work as a sort of education where young girls learn about their bodies.

I want to guide young girls so that they can explore and discover themselves in this world. I want to help them grow, and grow up. So that they can integrate there corporeality, intimacy and sexuality in there own life.

What kind of world is this?

Young girls are bombarded daily with sexually explicit images that tell them that their goal in life is to be “sexy”. These images create unrealistic expectations about their own bodies and are the reason why girls tend to judge their bodies so critically.
